Jupiter, born December 20, 2021, is our pride and joy from Arhat Kennels in Poland. He's a direct descendant of two remarkable dogs, Sadaksari and Caesar, who are known for their show-quality attributes and impressive wins.
Jupiter transforms as the evening arrives. Most of the time, he can be found lying in the yard, appearing to be asleep, yet always alert. His protective instincts particularly shine when our kids are playing outside. Like a vigilant shadow, he follows them everywhere, always trying to block them off when they get too close to the pond or swimming pool. As darkness envelops the surroundings, Jupiter becomes more actively engaged in his guardian role. He patrols the property, barking along the way.
At home, Jupiter's gentle nature really shines through. He's never once to jump on people. Instead, he has his own sweet way of greeting us: he'll come over and gently rub his big head against us, his way of saying 'welcome home'. When he wants a bit of attention, he'll playfully roll over, belly up, and paw at us as we walk by, as if to say, 'Hey, a little petting would be nice!' Our little girl has grown up crawling all over him, and he's always been the patient and loving giant like a big teddy bear.
Jupiter naturally assumes the role of the alpha within our home. His demeanor with our house cat and other family dogs is nothing short of sweet and amiable, showcasing his ability to be a gentle leader. Yet, his alpha instincts are unmistakable. He's not particularly fond of seeing other dogs or animals near our property. In such instances, Jupiter makes it clear that he's the protector and overseer of his domain.
